In my second installment of geeky gadget cakes, I present: the Amazon Kindle e-reader. I've been jonesing for a Kindle for weeks now, and since I can't get the real thing just yet, I thought I would make a Kindle cake to show my love. Although there were some other gadgets contending for my Sunday cake project like the Macbook Air, my beloved iPod Nano, and my newest "wish list" entry, the Chumby. But for the portability, Internet access and features, the Kindle won by a landslide. So today I whipped up this bad boy. I have to admit though, it was tons easier than the Helio Cake, but this time I made it just for fun so there was way less pressure. Oh, and Amazon? If you're reading this, I'm not one to turn down gifts in the form of electronic reading devices for my efforts. You know, just in case you were wondering. *wink, wink* I'm already planning my next geeky cake, so keep an eye out. I'm still gunning for you, Duff!
